Ok, some of you are going to being saying to yourselves 'Er, what the hell?' or 'Are you joking?' but honestly, it seems to be true. A new type of PC which acts as a three-point plug is being released in the UK. This small Plug Computer is based on the Marvell platform, developed by the US and features a 1.2GHz processor, 512MB of DRAM, 512MB of NAND flash memory, plus Ethernet and USB port.
It plugs straight into the wall becoming a tiny low-powered home server, whilst being energy efficient by only using 2 to 5 watts in normal use and 50 milliwatts on standby. The cost of this brilliant idea will hopefully be driven down to $50 or £30.
This little gadget is already on sale in the US and at this present day were eco-friendly items and products are on the up, it's bound to make an impressive statement within the IT world! Either if your trying to become more kind to the world with your eco footprints or just wanting to free up space, this would be worth having a nose at.
