Get more followers on Twitter

Twitter has got a great reputation because it of one word: celebrity. You've got everyone from Paris Hilton to Stephen Fry 'Twittering.' When headlines such as "So and So has reached 1,000,000 followers" appeared it didn't take businesses long to see what all the fuss what about.
The truth is, getting thousands of followers may massage the ego, but it isn't necessarily good for your business.
The problem with being 'friends' with established people on Twitter is that, with their hundreds of thousands of followers, many are too swamped to start any kind of conversation with you.
Less popular doesn't mean less useful. People with less followers are more likely to see what you're tweeting, have more to reply to your tweets and consequently are the sort more likely to retweet (link to your content)...
