Google is attempting to pull away from the browser pack with the launch of Chrome 2, which claims to be 30% faster on Javascript-heavy pages than its previous version.
Chrome 2 hasn't changed a big deal visually compared to other user interfaces when they bring out a brand new version to their line. In fact, users will find it hard to notice the difference.
However, the major updates, tweaks and refinements have been going on underneath Chrome 2's skin with Google claiming big improvements to the browser's V8 Javascript engine.
In its own V8 benchmark suite, Chrome scored 3095, Firefox 3 scored 259 and Internet Explorer 8 scored only 105, due to Javascript which was causing the browser to run slowly...
