Microsoft launches Bing search engine

Microsoft officially launched its new Bing search engine on the 3rd of June 2009. With a number of changes under the Live brand, it became clear Live Search needed to be re-branded.
No, not sarcastic replies from the Friends cast member, Bing instead promises a lot of new features intended to encourage people away from the likes of Google which dominates the search engine market by some margin.
Visually, you get a nice new background photo each day. More importantly, search results provide an innovative extended preview. You also get related links to images, news and similar searches...
